I have started this blog to talk about my biography of Orville H. Gibson, founder of the Gibson Guitar Company, and the research it took to write it.

I will present a timeline of Orville’s work within the context of his life in Kalamazoo. Who was this luthier extraordinaire and why didn’t he take a more executive position within the Gibson Company? Who were his clients? And how did this New York native end up in Michigan?

My manuscript addresses these questions and more and hopefully will be published sometime in 2023. The book also includes never before published photographs and long lost scans regarding his family and career.
